This Year's Model Updates:

The power rear hatch is now standard on all models, as is wood and leather trim for the shift knob and steering wheel. The power passenger seat is upgraded from four-way to eight-way while the optional navigation system gets Bluetooth capability and voice actuated control. Last year's standard six-disc CD changer moves to the options list, making way for a standard single-CD setup.

Pros:
  • Well-appointed interior, rides more like a sedan than an SUV, loaded with high-tech features, solid reputation for reliability, excellent dealer service.
Cons:
  • Less powerful than some of its competitors, soft ride makes for merely adequate handling in corners, no third-row seat option.

  • My First Lexus - 2005 Lexus RX 330

Ok... Im in the army and have heard and listened to the hype, now I own one. This is a great SUV with many of my soldiers standing in line for a drive around the block. Lexus service is outstanding. They really make you feel like you are part of the family.

  • Bad Transmission - 2005 Lexus RX 330
    By -

I am very disappointed with the transmission on this car. It seems that it takes a good second to shift and sometimes it has a hard time finding the right gear.I am very surprised that Lexus would put such a poor quality transmission in one of there cars.I am returning the car to the dealer.

  • Excellent and Elegant - 2005 Lexus RX 330

Great ride. Reliable, fund, and class from bumper to bumper. First Lexus and would buy again right choice. Outstanding service and dealership customer relations. Treated with respect and handled like you are only customer in the shop. Sales staff was excellent to work with and knew the product. Car is the buy for SUV / LUV in its class. Impressed with safety features and workmanship.

  • Loving my Lexus - 2005 Lexus RX 330
    By -

I shopped on line to get reviews, ratings, pricing and features. I do lots of long distance driving and arrive rested and ready to work. I decided on the Lexus after research in safety features first and then the rest of the features confirmed this was the best choice for my lifestyle. Its a pleasure to drive with good visibility and rides more like a luxury sedan than an SUV. One of my requirements was an SUV on a sedan wheelbase for comfort and handling. I got everything I was looking for and more when I purchased my Lexus.

  • Disappointed Driver - 2005 Lexus RX 330

Typical Toyota high build quality and reliability but feels soul-less on the road. Front seat passengers seem to enjoy the vehicle more than I do. Rear seat passengers, aside from the low seat, also seem pleased. But behind the wheel, the steering is dull, the transmission/drivetrain seems to hesitate before doing your bidding. Normally, disappointment in the driving department is made up at the gas pump but not here where I see 16-17 MPG in the city and 20-21 on the highway. Oh well, at least with the Lexus name and good resale value I can probably get out of this vehicle for not much less than what I paid for it pre-owned.

  • Seating comfort Lacks! - 2005 Lexus RX 330
    By -

The Lexus is a high end suv and I am satisified with all but two things. The seats are not very comfortable at all, too flat with no side support and lacks much comforts. The other is there is no place for change storage and design or layout does not allow for satelitte radio. Iluminated lighting for controls on steering column.

Have had too many repairs. Radiator, crankshaft pulley, noise around the air conditioner line, all had to be repaired. I thought a Lexus would run forever with no problems if properly maintained. Very disappointed in this. Visibility is somewhat limited because of design. Disappointed and thinking about looking for something else. I thought this would be a car to last me 20 years.

  • RX 330 - 2005 Lexus RX 330

This is the most over rated vehicle in America. Soft ride with poor road feel, underpowered, overpriced. Seats too soft. Cargo space limited. Not worth high 40s with all the toys. Cost of operation not that cheap as oil change and tire rotation is $125 every 5000 miles.

  • I love my Thundercloud - 2005 Lexus RX 330
    By -

I love my Lexus RX 330 Thundercloud. It is fun to drive and it is, in my opinion, the most affordable Lexus you can buy. You get the most interior room for your money.

  • RX300 gets even better - 2005 Lexus RX 330

After happily owning an RX300 we were blown away by how much better the RX330 is. More interior room, better ride, better turning radius and the Nav system
